Keith Ellison's Associates Espouse Jihad and Elimination of the US Constitution and its Replacement with Sharia Law

Nihad Awad, CAIR founder and Ellison's close associate has been quoted as proclaiming:

"'Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant.
The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in
America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

The Muslim Brotherhood has also stated its intentions:

[Muslims] must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand
Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and
"sabotaging" their miserable house bytheir hands and the hands of the
believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victories over
     all religions . . . ."

Keith Ellison has been a keynote speaker for Muslim American Society, which is a
branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It should also be noted that CAIR, the Muslim American Society, and the Muslim Brotherhood are
all known terrorist organizations or have close ties to terrorist organizations.  A US Congressman has no business cozy-ing up to such.

This young girl was condemned by a Muslim court abiding by Sharia Law. She was punished because she did not wish to marry the older man her family had arranged for her.

Right to Bear Arms/ Second Amendment

I support the 2nd Amendment. This has already been established by the United States Supreme Court. I am a gun owner myself. I read a book recently, which went over the history of the 2nd Amendment.

Interestedly, the 2nd Amendment was promulgated for two reasons. One was for self defense; to protect oneself against others. The other I was surprised by. The other reason was to protect oneself from the government. I found that very interesting.

The book also pointed out that back in the 1600 or 1700s, people were required to own a gun, and, were required to have a certain minimum amount of ammunition. If one didn't have enough ammunition, they were fined. This is the context in which the 2nd Amendment was promulgated. Hence, there is substantial historical support for the right to bear arms.

Ellison Wrongly Defends Radical Islamists Desire to Build Mosque at 911's Ground Zero

Ellison is defending radical islamist's desire to build a mosque at 911's ground zero.  Ellison seems that he has and will defend whatever any radical Islamist wishes to do, no matter how wrong.  http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/100164504.html?elr=KArks8c7PaP3E77K_3c::D3aDhUoaEaD_ec7PaP3iUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUUEllison tries to cloak his improper agenda under a false claim of religion.  The proposed plan to build a mosque at ground zero is a hostile politically motivated, hostile ideological move.  Ellison cannot be trusted to represent America's values and freedoms.  Ellison apparently only wishes to promote political ideological Islam.  Ellison is not representative of the Fifth Congressional District of the State of Minnesota.  Vote him out of office on November 2, 2010.  Instead, vote in Lynne Torgerson.  She will protect your rights and values.

Poor Showing for Ellison

Today there was a primary for the Democrat slot in the 5th Congressional District of the State of Minnesota.  There are roughly 600,000 voters in this district.  Today, Ellison only received about 55,000 votes.  Although he won the Democrat slot, that is a poor showing of voters in support of him.

Job Creation in America and Minnesota

I have three suggestions for helping the economy and adding jobs for Americans, and Minnesotan.  One, we need to export more of our products, thus bringing money into the United States.  Two, we should impose some sort of penalty, by way of tax or tariff, upon companies that outsource jobs overseas.  It must be made more expensive to do business overseas than in the United States.  Three, we need to build an underground transportation system, like the underground subway called The Metro in Washington, D.C.  It should be underground for many reasons.  First, it should be underground so that it does not clog traffic.  Second, it should be underground, because have trains on the roadway with cars is dangerous.  Just the other day I saw a car driving downtown ON THE LIGHT RAIL TRACKS.  Third, because of the weather.  The weather in Minnesota in the fall, winter and spring, particularly in the winter, is brutal, when standing outside waiting for the bus.  Being underground would keep people warm and dry.  Additionally, we need to upgrade our bridges.  Each of the suggestions would help out economy, Americans, and Minnesotans.

Lynne Torgerson Answers Accusations of Racism and Bigotry

Ordinarily, I would not share the information and sentiments in this writing, because generally speaking, people never talk about these things, and, some of these things are private.  However, because I have raised very sensitive issues, and because some people do not understand what my message is, I feel it is necessary to write the following.

I am sorry for the pain, and other consequences, people of color, particularly black Americans,  have suffered because of racism.  Racism is wrong.  It produces hatred.  I also want to emphasize that I am not a racist, nor a bigot.  My entire life is integrated.  I support integration.  My friendships are integrated.  My work is integrated.  My church is integrated.  Also, because I have raised these sensitive issues, I guess I should disclose that I have dated men of several different races and nationalities, including black men.  So, my entire life refutes that I am racist.

I am also a criminal defense lawyer.  I have devoted over 20 years of my life to defending the civil and constitutional rights of people of all races, nationalities, faiths, and life styles.  I have fought racism in the courts for over 20 years.  My clients know this.  So, again, my entire life refutes all accusations that I am racist or a bigot.

I agree with Martin Luther King that people are not to be judged by the color of their skin.  This means that no one of any race gets to be racist.  I must add that I oppose racism by any race.  White people are not to be racist.  Also, black people are not to be racist.  In my book, no one gets a pass.  I expect the same out of my black sisters and brothers as my white sisters and brothers.

I also support affirmative action.

Further, just because I am running against Keith Ellison, who happens to be black, does not mean that I am running against him because he is black.  And, that is not why I am running against him.  Nor does the fact that I am running against him mean that I am racist.

I should also point out that my message and platform has nothing to do with religion.  I support, pursuant to the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, of anyone's right to worship the god of their choosing, including the moon god Allah.  However, we must learn that Islamic Law, Sharia Law, is only in part, a religion.  The remainder is a political ideology, and some of it contrasts with our criminal laws and our Constitutional rights.  Also, we must realize that there are millions of radical Islamists who wish to destroy America.  That is what I am coming against.  Not any race.  Not any religion.  I have been fighting for American's constitutional rights and civil rights for over 20 years, and I have no intention of standing idly by and permitting anyone to infringe on our freedoms and United States Constitution, regardless of their race or religion.

Thank you.
